Welcome

Judy Talacko was born and raised in Melbourne. She studied art at RMIT and after graduating began her career in fabric designing and batik printing. After she married she moved to country Victoria and started painting landscapes in both oil and watercolour.

It wasn't long before her pictures became popular and her reputation grew. Since that time she has had over 40 solo exhibitions and her paintings are held in many private and public collections all over the world.

She has changed her style over the years, including a period of painting which she describes as "poetic metaphors". These were extremely successful in Europe. Now, however, she is probably best known for her impressionist seascapes which have been popular in Australia, USA and Europe. Many of these works are now available as prints, greeting cards and even jigsaw puzzles.

Recently Judy has returned to painting floral works.  These are significant in that they are large works not only depicting the beauty of the blooms but with strong emphasis on the play of light and shade.

Judy lives in Melbourne, Australia with her husband and is the mother of 4 children.
